1. Earn College Credits in High School
Ambitious high school students seeking a head start on their college studies now have more choices  when it comes to taking classes and saving money. “Rowan Start,” a dual enrollment initiative that includes both Rowan College at Gloucester County (RCGC) and Rowan University, offers transferable college credits at a discounted  price. Take an unlimited number of RCGC c ourses with the High Sc hool Option Program (HSOP) and receive a 65 percent discount on tuition, or pay only $125 per dual credit cours e taught at the high school, equivalent to taking a class on RCGC’s campus.

2. Obtain a Bachelor’s Degree for Under $30,000
September 2018 marks a milestone for RCGC when for the first time in the college’s history, junior-year, 300level courses will be offered through the Rowan 3+1 program. RCGC and Rowan University join forces to launch a cost-saving alternative that allows students to earn a bachelor’s d egree for less than $30,000. Eligible programs include communications (radio, television and film), exercise science, law and justice,  nursing and psychology.

3. $350,000 in Scholarships
RCGC offers a variety of options to help make paying for college less stressful on the wallet. At $4,470 a year, the college’s reasonable tuition and fees outperform state ($13,772) and private ($37,427) universities. Financial  assistance is obtainable through resources  such as state and federal loans and grants, foundation scholarships, NJ STARS, Gloucester County Internship Scholarship Program, federal work study program, veteran benefits, National Guard Free Tuition program, volunteer firefighter/rescue worker and Educational Opportunity Fund (EOF). During the 2017-2018 school  year, RCGC’s Foundation awarded 340 scholarships valued at $350,000.

4. Top Ranked Degrees
With more than 70 academic programs  and certificates in allied health, business, human ities, science, technology, engineering and mathematics, RCGC offers students the opportunity to pursue a career, earn an associate’s  degree or move on to a four-year university.  RCGC’s nursing and computer graphic arts programs are ranked No. 1 in the state, with the college’s physical therapist assistant (PTA) program recently earning accreditation status to become the only PTA program in South Jersey.

5. Internships that Pay
Students have the chance to make connections with local businesses and take advantage of career exploration  through RCGC’s Cooperative Education program, internships  and networking opportunities. A strategic partnership within the business community  enhances the academic portion of a student’s degree program with hands-on experience,  developing skills and meaningful relationships with leaders in professional fields. Internships—many  paid and others linked to scholarships such as the Gloucester County Internship Scholarship Program and the Process Technology  Scholarship—offer students valuable work experience and the opportunity  to enrich their résumé while saving money. RCGC’s Cooperative Education program has been selected South Jersey Biz magazine’s “Best of Biz” for four consecutive y ears.
