06 -The first Browning Ross Winter Series 5K of the season, to be followed by runs on Jan. 13, 20 and 27, Feb. 3, 10, 17 and 24. These 5Ks are organized by Ringo Adamson, Rowan University’s head girls track and cross country coach and a two-time Olympian. Registration and the start of the race takes place in the parking lot next to Rowan’s track on Bowe Blvd. in Glassboro. 08- Get Fit Kids. An eight-week nutrition and exercise program for kids from 8 to 12 offered at Rohrer Center for HealthFitness in Voorhees from Jan. 8 to March 2 and at the Virtua Center for HealthFitness at Washington Township from Jan. 9 to March 2. 13- Dance for Parkinson’s Disease. Anyone living with Parkinson’s, along with their family and friends, are invited to this unique program designed to improve the overall well-being of those affected by the disease. 26—Mother/Daughter Day. 03-Annual Katz JCC Spin-A-Thon. This event for those 15 and up, held in conjunction with Healthy Heart Month at the JCC, is a three-hour program divided into three one-hour slots that will raise money for the American Heart Association. 13- Winter Wiffleball Tournament. Held at the Katz JCC for those 15 and up, teams of three or four players can sign up for this annual competitive tournament. 07- April Fool’s Half Marathon. Part of the Atlantic City Marathon series, this race kicks off the season with a 13.1-mile course along the boardwalk, open to elites and beginners alike. 20- 8th Annual Katz JCC Eric & Andy Sussman Memorial 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament Weekend. Join survivors for this annual Mother’s Day 5K run/walk tradition in Philadelphia, and help them reach their goal of $2.3 million raised this year for breast cancer research and outreach. 31- RV Red Devil Dash. One messy mile of 21 challenging obstacles of mud, water, sand and more. 02- Katz JCC 9th Annual Kids’ Triathlon.
