Braves baseball team
Shamong
The Braves (pictured), a team of third- and fourth-grade players, won the 2013 Indian Mills Athletic Association championship. They took home the title after defeating another Indian Mills team in the final. The Braves were coached by Mike Dunn, Nate Fowler, Eric Ruppel, Frank Caterina and Mike Fejko.

Wedgewood swim team
Haddonfield
Wedgewood claimed first place at the 57th Annual Burt German Tri-County Swimming Championships, ending Pheasant Run’s eight-year winning streak at the meet. The Haddonfield club finished with 730 points, 38 more than second-place finisher and host team Deer Brook, and broke several meet records along the way. Abbey Neveling, a freshman at Haddonfield Memorial High School, broke a 14-year mark in the girls 13-14 50-meter breaststroke with a time of 33.81 seconds, while the Wedgewood 8-and-under girls finished the freestyle relay in a record-setting 1:11.77.

Marlton Reds U-9 baseball team
Marlton
After going undefeated on the way to district and state championships, the Reds capped their dominant season with another impressive performance. Marlton went 6-0 in the Cal Ripken Middle Atlantic Regional Championships, beating out other state champions from Delaware, New Jersey, New York, Maryland and Pennsylvania to win the title. The Reds finished the season with a 37-3 record.

Cherry Hill Atlantic Road Dawgs U-9 baseball team
Cherry Hill
The Road Dawgs turned in impressive performances at a pair of tournaments this summer. They took first place in the Seventh Annual Medford Killer Bees Baseball Tournament, and they also won the Riverside Summer Heat Baseball Tournament. Steven Meyers was the head coach of the team.

Moorestown Union U-11 girls soccer team
Moorestown
In their first tournament together as a team, the Union brought home the championship at the Labor Day New Jersey Soccer Academy 04 Tournament at Mercer Park. The Union posted a 2-1-1 record in the tournament, and earned the title with a 4-2 victory over Berkley SA in the final.

Marlton Chiefs street hockey travel team
Marlton
The Chiefs, a team made up of 10-12 year-olds, made a trip to Canada this summer to compete in the Maple Leaf Cup in Niagara Falls. The boys went 4-0 to win the tournament, including a 3-1 win in the final over the Niagara Falls Texas Cowboys. The Chiefs allowed just three goals the entire tournament and had nine different goal scorers.

Washington Township High School soccer team
Washington Township
The Washington Township B team took home the JV championship in the Gloucester County Summer Soccer League. After finishing with a 7-1 record in the regular season, Township defeated West Deptford in the semifinals and St. Augustine C in the final to earn the title.

Medford Renegades 12-year-old baseball team
Medford
Medford captured the Southern New Jersey Cal Ripken 50/70 state championship this summer for 12-year-old boys. The Renegades went on to compete in the Mid-Atlantic Regional Tournament and reached the quarterfinals before being eliminated.

Mount Laurel Storm U-12 softball team
Mount Laurel
The Storm notched four straight impressive victories to win the U-12 division championship at the USGA playoffs this summer. In the final, they knocked off Delran for the title with a 6-0 victory thanks to outstanding performances by pitcher Emma Brennan and catcher Angelina Condo.

Cherry Hill Stealers Junior American Legion baseball team
Cherry Hill
The Stealers captured the Junior American Legion state championship in thrilling fashion, battling back to beat Gibbsboro 8-4 in extra innings for the title. It was the third comeback win of the tournament for Cherry Hill, which moved on to play in the Northeast Regional Tournament in Connecticut.

Voorhees Union U-12 boys soccer team
Voorhees
The Union won their division at the 30th Annual TBAA Preseason Tournament. Voorhees posted two wins and a tie in three games and outscored its opponents by a total of 12-5.

Mount Laurel Storm U-10 softball team
Mount Laurel
The Mount Laurel squad enjoyed a spectacular summer, winning the United States Specialty Sports Association Class B New Jersey state championship with a 4-1 record. The Storm avenged their only loss of the tournament with a 10-0 victory over the Jersey Bandits in the final. They went on to compete in the USSSA Eastern World Series in Salisbury, Md., where they posted a 4-3 record and tied for seventh out of 17 teams.
